Before you go into any of these dungeons , it is advised to have full info on all the mobs in the dungeon you enter (extra item from mob drops)
First info dot of a mob makes the mob do 10% less dmg on you, second info dot gives you the location of the monster, last dot gives you +1 item drop when looting)
Forbidden Abyss: LVL - 90
-------------------
My advised formation :
1 - X - 1
1 - X - 1
1 - X - 1
mercs I mostly use
sword - X - lady knight
prophet - X - janisary
main - X - oracle
Some mobs do freeze here, which is why only 2 at front row and middle row empty. So if they freeze you when both front row are still alive, only your front row gets frozen.
If you have problems with this, use your archer or cannoneer to take the backrow freeze mobs out quick, they go down fairly fast and are far weaker then the front mobs you face at start.
The dragons around the boss have casters in the packs. These can do a nasty aoe that weakens your low magic mercs rapidly if you let them live too long.
Again here you can focus on taking them out first, before you take out the others.
When I do this dungeon, I mostly have 2 strong melee mercs front row, prophet & ranged second row & my main (bow) & healer last row.
I kill the second row packs first , then focus on front row, purely because it makes you clear mobs faster and more effecient due back row mobs weaker than front row mobs (plus fact they freeze = 2 less mercs in action).
The boss is fairly easy and normaly you shouldnt have too many problems with him, unless he focuses on your party or on your main.
Arachne's Web: LVL - 94
------------------
Now you will notice this dungeon is alot harder than the 90 one, annoying flying mobs here so be sure you have enough ranged set up.
My advised formation:
1 - 1 - 1
X - X - X
1 - 1 - 1
mercs I mostly use
sword - prophet - lady knight
X - X - X
main - jani - oracle
With this setup, not having mercs standing a row behind eachother (empty space second row), you don't get the splash acid dmg from the flying wasps, which hurt alot and can quickly take your mercs down if they dont have enough hp. Ofcourse with this setup you will get the vertical splash damage from the spiders. But I prefer that damage over the acid splash any day.
Mobs here cast ap eating acid, which lowers your merc his ap, making him lose next turn almost certainly. A monk here can be very useful to protect you from that (although I use Oracle here).
The left route has more chance of more mob packs joining than the right route, so best that someone experienced and strong goes left or let a party with 2 take it.
I usualy focus first on the flying things with my ranged & magic on melee if its usable, since the acid is the worst spell in this dungeon. Then I focus on spiders (if any) and as last the other weird ones.
There is one mob near the boss all the time, either try to take it out before you take on the boss or simply click the pack first and hope the boss doesnt join.
Though you should be ok realy if you do this with 2 or 3 people.
Hypogeum of Death: LVL - 98
-----------------------
Now the fun starts, this dungeon has alot of strong magic attack mobs and mobs with realy high hp & high def (blue ones , youll notice them , the ones that take a load to kill :p)
My advised formation:
1 - 1 - 1
X - X - X
1 - 1 - 1
mercs I mostly use
BT - sword - lady knight
X - X - X
main - Prophet - oracle
This is what I use here atleast, note that it matters here which mercs you bring. Be sure to bring mercs that have high good magic resistance or you will be in trouble here.
As for the mobs, take out the green ones first is a golden tip here. Green flying ones or melee. Then focus on the red or blue ones.
The left route here is less mobs and less chance of more packs joining than north route.
When you killed about 8 mobs, you will reach the tough blue ones I talked about above. Leave them for last. IF you do see a HADEs PATROLLER. Focus on him and take him out as soon you can.
Their aoe can realy hurt and so its best you finish those first. Then work your way down and leave the blue hades for last to kill.
Around the boss are 5 packs which are fairly difficult. They have 2 blue hades patrollers in front & 2 green hades aoe in the back.
To solo these I focus on the green one in the back first (left or right), as soon that one is down, I kill the blue one in front of it, then repeat same other side.
As for the boss, nasty aoe and can do alot of dmg on your main if focussed, nontheless you should be ok if your mercs are equiped up to date and have the required hp or dex to dodge.
Sealed tower of darkness: LVL - 101
-----------------------------
This place is made out of 3 floors, each floor have a different key you need to use to be able to portal, fight in it.
You will notice this place is alot easyer than 98 and I even find it easyer than 94.
Only problem you might have here is when more packs join.
My advised formation for mobs:
1 - X - 1
1 - X - 1
1 - X - 1
My advised formation for boss:
1 - 1 - 1
X - X - X
1 - 1 - 1
Mercs I mostly use : Sword - Lady Knight - Prophet - Jani - Main - Oracle
-NOTE- All bosses here (1st, 2nd & 3rd) floor are FLYING bosses, so be sure to have ranged to kill unless you like to wait turns for your melee to use magic
For the first floor, your formation doesnt matter as much, but for the second I highly recommend my formation since on that floor you have mobs who splash verticaly rows, hence empty spot in middle.
Mobs first floor are fairly easy. I mostly focus on the dogs first since i don't like their fire and go then onto the weaker ones that cast.
The boss here can take a while to kill, does nasty dmg from time and casts debuff magic on you, but the one on first floor shouldn't be a problem.
Second floor now, for here the upper formation is at best, The huge dolls with their reapers are your priority to kill first. Then I go on dogs and casters for last.
Again, careful of fighting packs close to eachother for reinforcements joining.
Now this boss is a bit more loveable in the wrong way. This one uses a very annoying spell which disables your mercs , you cant use them for aslong the love spell of death is on them.
NOTE: using a scroll of purification removes this debuff , I always bring some since they are very handy here
The third floor, now this is realy tricky and a true timekiller.
DONT GO WITH ONLY 2 PEOPLE IN HERE OR SOLO!
You will realy need 3 in here for maximum killing.
At first when your team enters, kill off the non boss pack of 3 mobs in front of you , if youre lucky all 3 of them will join and you can finish them off in one battle.
After this battle, go straight to final floor boss (dracula lookalike) at the back of the room. This boss has chance to drop 5x darkest night boxes which rocks.
As for this battle on him, if more packs join, focus on them first and leave mr big dracula lookalike for last. Hes the toughest one so should be killed last as he takes a while for sure.
When youre done with this fight, you can either split in 2 or 3 teams or not split at all to fight off the other mini bosses (bosses from first floor/second) in the room.
I never finished this dungeon yet within the time given, so dont worry if you didnt either
Lerna's Labyrint: LVL - 105
------------------
Strong mobs, annoying ap eating magic AND you will notice you will be short on time.
The goal is to kill QUICK here, there are alot of mobs and alot of running to do here.
My advised formation:
X - X
- X -
My Mercs: LK - Spartan
Pirate
Main, Prophet, N. Viking
with bless & res scrolls on main if needed.
The mobs here do high dmg and the owls in here are the ones you need to look out for. They do the ap eating acid on your mercs.
Either have a monk to prevend this or finish the owls off first. Though that will give you a problem since they are tough.
I focus here on the weaker mobs first (the ones that dont look like an owl :p) and leave owl for last since he takes longest and feels like a mini boss on itself. (bit like the blue hades patrollers from indy 98)
You will also notice big blue caster mobs among packs here, If you see them, take them out first, they do a nasty aoe fire which hurts your team alot.
Either do the piggyback tactic here (one solo attacks first pack, other 2 go next pack) and fight over the other each time or let solo person go left and teamed people go north.
North is where you need team of minimum 2 to kill the pack of 3 owls who patrol realy close to eachother. Most of the time they all join or just one if youre lucky.
The boss is a real long fight and can sure kill your mercs quick if focussed on you. Be sure to bring life bless scrolls & resurrect ones, since you need it here.
